Subject: what is recycleable where?

I'm trying to find out if PET .5 is generally recycleable in the U.S.

Does anyone know how to find out the recycleability of plastics based on type? Or if this is a commonly recycled plastic? I want to know so I can add a recycle mark to a product that is being made of this material. I would love an answer ASAP!
