Subject: Textile statistics and recycling bags

Dear sir,
We are bag manufacturers in Hong Kong. We would like to recycle our bags and transform the raw materials obtained in a new product.Is it worth while knowing that are so many accessories on the bag or luggage?There is the textile plus the backing in PVC. The second question is where can I find statistics concerning the waste we produce by producing bags:the energy we use,the water,the fabric waste,the overall pollution. The Hong Kong environment department doe not possess such data. When someone uses a bag, how much damage is he causing to the planet?
