Subject: type 6 plastic

We use type 6 plastic in our cafeteria and throw it away everyday. Our lunch program has 1600 people going thru it and wasting this plastic is killing me. Is this type of plastic recyclable and if so, how?? Any information on type 6, or type 1 (our water bottles as well) would be helpful.
