Some communities collect clothing periodically from the curbside. I don't recall which do. A relatively proactive program is that of Ann Arbor Michigan. They have an excellent website. If they do collect clothing, you'll be able to find some info and contacts there. They also collect batteries at curbside, which is uncommon. Cary, North Carolina, has a curbside program to collect used computer monitors. I don't remember offhand if they are collected for both reuse and recycling or just recycling.
