Hi. According to 1999 waste statistics compiled for the EPA by Franklin Associates, 1.02 lbs per person per day are recycled and 3.33 lbs per person per day are discarded. You can find this report via the EPA website... www.epa.gov/osw.

Of course, commercial collections are included in these data, so one would expect that the curbside collections per person are less. If you need that number, maybe a waste management company could help you. They undoubtedly have an estimate of the amount of material they pick up per household per collection period.
