my friend owns a small pencil company. he has plastic pencil packages with paperboard pieces inside that he would like to recycle if possible. here in the kansas city area, local recycling centers only accept plastics #1 and 2 with threaded necks (blowmolds). i'm not sure what kind of plastic the cases are, but they look like a vinyl or ldpe. separating the paperboard inside would be impractical--he has thoousands of packages. how does a business go about finding a buyer for their waste?
