Dear April Cole,
There are no reliable statistics available on the % of antifreeze nationally that is recovered for recycling or reuse. The process is too decentralized: too much consumer antifreeze is turned in to too many 1-day collection days. The best estimate that you will be able to get will come from The Waste Watch Center in Andover, Massachusetts(tel: 508-470-3044). The Research Library for RCRA has found their numbers believable, but not on a national basis, and certainly they won t have anything for last year!!!!! That s just an unrealistic expectation.
