Dear Sophie Louis,
We may have a language problem here; I don t know what you mean by a windscreen . I think what you mean is what in the U.S. is called a windshield and is made of automotive glass. I will answer on that basis:
Yes it can be recycled. In Germany it is sold to recyclers to make bottles. (BMW e.g.) According to both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Boston University projects recycling/remanufacturing networks, auto glass,
while not a high end product, is recyclable and does have markets. Volvo Corp. uses hammermill separation and separation. Glass accounts for about 2% of a the material content of an auto.
