March 31/97

Dear Lyn Leithliter,

Mercury vapor lighting is recyclable; it is not exactly commonplace, but not as difficult to find a recycler as a few years ago.

Some firms that are doing it include:

Global Recycling Technologies, Stoughton, MA (617-341-6080)
Advanced Environmental Recycling Corp, Allentown, PA (800-554-2372; also in NJ, NC, FL and CA)
Northeast Lamp Recycling Inc, East Windsor, CT
Alta, Springfield, MA (800-730-2582)
Mercury Refining Co., Albany, NY (800-833-3505)

These are NOT endorsements of any firm, but a random selection of the ones in directories principally in Region 1 (New England).
