Dear Terry Stella,

To my knowledge, Kodak does recycle film cannisters through its agents to whom you return them for developing. Additionally, some independent metals recyclers will recycle them (one such in the Boston area, principally does silver recovery and photo chemical treatment, but will also recycle scrap aluminum and steel cannisters).

It may be that Kodak s competitors do the same as does Kodak. Kodak is headquartered in Rochester, NY.
