Dear Edwin Torres,

If the Vehicle Recycling Partnership of the 'Big 3' automakers has a website, you might find a technical description of shredding of motor vehicles there.
However, non web sources are much more certain, for example:

 Shredders by the Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources, Waste Mgmt Div., PO Box 30241, Lansing MI 48909, their publication # RRS 27.
(put out long ago, so you might have to remind them of it).

 Post-consumer vehicle recycling a report to the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Assn., 10/21/92 by Phillip Townsend Associates, PO Box 90327, Houston, TX 77290.
