Dear Laura,
What are the 'cons' of recycling?
If there are no markets for the stuff you collect, you can't get rid of it.
If no one buys recycled products, they will stop being made.
If there is negative value for it and ample landfill space or incineration capacity without emissions damage possibility, it is an unwise choice for that period of time.
It is somewhat time consuming
You may not have sufficient storage to store the stuff you collect until it can be transferred
Transport can be expensive
It is debatable whether we will really run out of sources for many materials which we now recycle.
Some Sanitation Departments don't like to deal with it and think of it as double work.
How's that?
