Dear B J Selman,

Well, I can't give you any more up to date national recycling figures than I posted two weeks ago on this website and which you could look up from previous posts. What I do have that is new is the recycling rates of some cities in the countries of your concern:

For example, Boston, Massachusetts: 15% (1996)
             Worcester, MA: 48% (1996)
             Brescia, Italy: 11% (1998)
             Prato, Italy: 11% ( )
             Saarbrucken, Germany: 33% (1998)
             Lahn-Dill-Kreis, Germany: 40% ( )
             Rotterdam, Netherlands: 38% ( )
             Hampshire, UK: (9%)
             Helsinki, Finland: 29%
