Dupont and Ford Motor Co. currently have a program of carpet recycling. Some of the feestock is regular carpet and some of it is auto carpet, which they are using to make nylon auto parts.

The Carpet and Rug Institute, a trade association for the carpet industry may have additional information. Website address is: www.carpet-rug.com.

Normally auto carpet ends up as 'fluff' components.
